DENTAL  IMPLANTS

  • If you've lost a tooth, an implant can be the answer. Implants
restore appearance and function without having to alter any
of the adjacent teeth. An attractive crown can then be made
to fit onto the implant structure to restore your smile.

  • Dental Implants are also an excellent option for people who
have trouble controlling their dentures or partials. Implants
provide the support for "snap on" dentures, which work very
well to stabilize mobile, "floating" plates. A specialized type of
connector is installed in the denture, which then snaps into
    place onto an implant attachment.
  • You need to be evaluated, to see if you are a good
candidate for implant surgery.  You will need a complete
series of films and a thorough, oral examination.

  • Successful candidates for implant treatment have good
healing potential and stable health status.

  • You must have an adequate amount of bone present.

  • The implant sites must be kept clean and plaque-free.
Good home care is necessary for your implant's success.

"Mini" Implants

At this time, Dr. Curry
does not  recommend
or place mini's or
midi's.

Current research has
shown the best
results are achieved
with conventional
endosteal implants.

Although the mini
implants cost less,
the stability, strength
and versatility of the
endosteal implants
make them a much
greater value.

Because of this, we
place only endosteals.
"How do I know implants are right for me?"
A DENTURE PATIENT
COMMENTS:
"I got implants with
little connectors, so
my dentures can
snap on securely. It
costs a little more...
but it made a big
difference. I can eat,
talk, and go on with
my normal life-- and
never worry about
my dentures sliding
around. I
love my
new "snap ons"!
