FILLINGS,
CROWNS &
BRIDGES

When teeth are injured by decay or broken in an accident
there are 3 ways to repair the damage: fillings, crowns or
bridges.
For small to medium repairs, the appearance and strength of a
tooth can be restored using modern, bonded tooth-colored
fillings. This material is far superior to the old "silver" fillings
because it forms a chemical and a mechanical bond with the
actual tooth structure to become a part of the tooth. Bonded
fillings strengthen teeth and look beautiful doing it.
When teeth have suffered heavy decay, had large fillings in
them for many years, or been badly injured in an accident, the
ideal way to repair and protect them is by placing a crown. A
crown acts as a protective cap to help prevent biting forces
from splitting a tooth. By doing this, crowns shield and retain
our teeth on a longer-term basis. We do only high-end
porcelain; porcelain over gold; or gold crowns. The beauty
and durability of our carefully made crowns makes them
highly desired and appreciated.

Fixed bridges are long-term restorations, used to replace
teeth that have been lost. The missing teeth are reproduced
to blend aesthetically with surrounding teeth, and are then
cemented into place. Like crowns, our bridges are made of
high-end porcelain; porcelain over gold; or gold.
TOOTH DECAY:
There's a lot going on
in our mouths, right
now.   We are hosts to
a big,  unseen world of
yeast and bacteria,
which are always
present in our mouths.
Most are good and
necessary.    Good
organisms help us
digest our food and
aid in defeating any
illness which might
enter our bodies
through foods we eat.

Then, there's the bad
bacteria. Of these, the
most noteworthy one,
named
streptococcus
mutans,
is extremely
destructive. It thrives
in the warm moisture
of our mouths & eats
what we eat, giving
off an acid bath to
gain a firmer foothold
into our enamel.

 S. mutans'
 acid--
made  to create a
home for itself in the
hard structure of our
teeth-- is the direct
cause of tooth decay.

fillings look! It's like
my teeth never had
a cavity in them!"
