BIOGRAPHY
DR. STEVEN T. CURRY
Dr. Steven Curry, a native of Harrison County, graduated magna
cum laude from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Chemistry.  
As an undergraduate student at WVU, he was honored with
membership in Phi Beta Kappa for superior academic achievement.  
Three years later, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)
degree from WVU.
Before establishing his private practice, Dr. Curry served as Dental
Clinic Director/Clinician of the Mineral County Health Department.  
While there, he assessed and treated economically disadvantaged
children of that county and supervised undergraduate dental
students on clinical rotation from West Virginia University's School
of Dentistry.  As Director at Mineral County, Dr. Curry's major goal
was the provision of high quality, compassionate dental care for the
underprivileged children of that area.
Beginning with his experiences in Mineral County, Dr. Curry
recognized that a large percentage of people are fearful of dentists
and dental offices.  He saw a need within the community for gentler
methods of care, so anxious patients can become more comfortable,
calm and relaxed during their dental appointments.  After opening
his own practice in Harrison County, he began developing a mode of
patient care aimed at decreasing patient fearfulness.
Having committed long hours to continuing education over the
years, Dr. Curry offers a range of comprehensive professional
services to his patients.  His interest in innovative dental procedures
prompted him to begin inventing dental instruments.  In addition to
his private practice, he is currently an adjunct professor working
with the West Virginia University's School of Dentistry in
Morgantown, WV.  There, he partners with WVU and WVU's
Research Corporation (WVURC) developing new dental and medical
instruments and devices.
